DIY Summer Sunflower Grapevine Wreath

This week we are welcoming May with this gorgeous Summer Sunflower Grapevine Wreath. Our floral designer Tim used a variety of greenery along with cheerful Sunflowers and bright ribbon. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.

Supplies Needed:

  • Before you begin make sure to gather all of the necessary supplies

  • To get started, Tim added the Green Twig Stem all over the Grapevine Wreath. He cut the stem into separate sections and hot glued them to the wreath.

  • Next Tim cut the Sedum Spray & Australian Fern Bush into separate sections and placed them throughout the wreath.

  • Next Tim cut apart both Sunflower & Hydrangea Bushes. He placed each flower around the wreath using hot glue to secure them to the grapevine. As you work your way around the wreath, make sure to alternate the flowers being added and space them out accordingly.

  • To add a lighter shade of green Tim began cutting pieces off of the Maidenhair Fern Bush to add to the wreath. He used hot glue to secure them and he worked in the pieces all over the wreath.

  • Next Tim began working with both ribbons that were chosen. He tied a three loop stacked bow and then separated the loops apart. He tied the bow using floral wire and secured it to the bottom of the wreath.

  • Tim then added the Salal Leaves to the edges of the wreath. He cut the stem apart into separate sections and used hot glue to secure them.

  • Next Tim added three two loop bows to the top and middle sections of the wreath to add more texture.

  • Once you have added these small bows you can come to a stopping point. You will have a bright and cheerful wreath to use throughout the warm Summer months.
