DIY Easter Bunny Mesh Teardrop

This week, we’re excited to showcase a one-of-a-kind creation from our talented floral designer, Tim – the Easter Bunny Mesh Teardrop! Perfectly capturing the spirit of the season, this whimsical and charming design blends pastel hues and festive accents in a stunning teardrop shape. Tim’s attention to detail and creativity truly shine in this piece, making it an ideal addition to your Easter décor. In this blog post, we’ll teach you the steps to make one of your very own. Keep reading for all the details!

Supplies needed:

  • First things first, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies before getting started.

  • Tim started this Teardrop by first adding the base layer of deco mesh to the length of the Teardrop. He started at the top of the Teardrop working his way down one side tying the mesh with the branches of the Teardrop. Once one side was complete he worked back up the other side until the whole Teardrop was covered in the Coral Mesh. This design could be recreated with any color of Deco Mesh; you can adjust the colors to fit your existing decor or your personal preference.

  • Once the Deco Mesh had been added Tim then tied a large 4 loop bow for the top of the Teardrop. He used both the 2.5" Ribbon & the 1.5" Ribbon layered together to created a mixed bow. He left the tails intact to then loop down the length of the Teardrop. He separated the loops down the Teardrop as well.

  • Next Tim began to add the Easter Accents to the Teardrop. He started with the two Easter Bunny sprays. He cut the majority of the length off of both stems and stair-stepped them in the middle of the Teardrop pointing in opposite directions.

  • Then he began adding the other Easter accent florals. He trimmed the majority of the length off of the Spiral Curly Sprays and placed them throughout the Teardrop. He also cut the Carrots into individual pieces and distributed them throughout the Teardrop as well.

  • Tim then used the remaining Ribbon to tie smaller three loop bows for the side and bottom of the Teardrop.

  • Once all of the components have been added to the Teardrop you can come to a stopping point. You will have a fun and festive Teardrop to welcome guests throughout the Easter season.
