DIY Moody Moss Wreath

This week our floral designer Tim created a dark and moody Moss Wreath that features different shades of green and purple. The contrast of the two colors creates a striking wreath that can be used inside or outside your home. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.

Supplies needed:

  • To get started, first gather all of the necessary supplies.

  • Tim began this design by cutting apart the Maiden Hair Fern Bush and adding them to the wreath on the right side. He created a crescent shape working on only the right side of the wreath.

  • Next he cut the majority of the length off of the Eggplant Hydrangea Stem. He added it to the center of the right side of the Wreath.

  • He then cut apart the Rice Grass Bush into individual pieces and added those also to the right side of the Wreath. He specifically used these pieces to add texture and height to the Wreath. He used hot glue to secure each piece.

  • Next Tim added the three Foam Flower Stems to the Wreath. He cut the majority of the length off of each stem and then positioned them around the Hydrangea on the Wreath. He used Hot Glue to secure each piece.

  • To add more height to the Wreath Tim added the Bells of Ireland Spray to the top of the Wreath. He curved the stem towards the left to help add to the crescent shaped design.

  • Next Tim cut apart the Green Snowball Spray and placed it throughout the Wreath. He used it above and below the Hydrangea.

  • To add more of the deep purple color Tim cut apart the Purple Allium Spray and placed it throughout the Wreath. He used Hot Glue to secure each piece.

  • When you are finished adding all of the components you can come to a stopping point. Feel free to fill in any holes you might have with remaining pieces. We hope that you enjoy this moody and unique Moss Wreath.
