DIY Nutcracker Christmas Wreath
DIY Nutcracker Christmas Wreath
This week, our talented floral designer, Tim, has conjured up a festive masterpiece inspired by our enchanting Nutcracker collection. He skillfully crafted a Nutcracker Christmas Wreath that showcases bold jewel tones and features a striking metal Nutcracker. Using one of our lush Evergreen Wreaths as the base, Tim combined vibrant ribbons and carefully selected florals to create a design that brings holiday cheer both indoors and outdoors. - To get started, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies
- Tim started this project by bending the metal stakes at the bottom of the Metal Christmas Soldier. He bent them backwards so that they would be hidden on the Wreath. He then used floral wire to wire the Soldier to the Wreath. He added the soldier to the right hand side of the Wreath.
- Next Tim cut the Cedar Sprays into multiple sections and worked them in throughout the Wreath. He used Hot Glue to secure each piece. He added these pieces to extend the length of the overall Wreath and to add more texture.
- Tim then used all 4 of the chosen ribbons to make a 4 loop bow. He stacked the ribbons together before tying them. He also left enough length in the tails for the ribbons to hang down the wreath a bit. He secure the bow with floral wire and then used the same floral wire to attach the bow to the Wreath. He placed the bow on the left hand side directly across from the Metal Soldier.
- Next Tim added the Navy Blue Velvet Poinsettias to the Wreath. He cut the majority of the stem off of each Poinsettia and used Hot Glue to secure them. He placed one in the center of the top and bottom of the Wreath. The third he placed to the right of the Soldier.
- Once the Poinsettias had been added, Tim began to add the Red & Emerald sprays. He cut both the Red Juniper and the Emerald Bay Leaf Spray into multiple sections and placed them throughout the wreath.
- As you step back to admire your Nutcracker Christmas Wreath, take a moment to appreciate the vibrant colors and intricate details that bring this festive piece to life. With each element thoughtfully added, from the lush evergreen base to the bold jewel tones and charming Nutcracker centerpiece, your creation not only enhances your holiday decor but also tells a story of tradition and celebration. We hope this project inspires you to embrace your creativity and spread holiday cheer throughout your home. Whether hung on a door or displayed indoors, your wreath is sure to be a delightful focal point for all to enjoy. Happy crafting and Merry Christmas!
