DIY Red Poinsettia Memorial Cone
DIY Red Poinsettia Memorial Cone
As the holiday season approaches, many of us seek meaningful ways to honor our loved ones who have passed. This week, our talented floral designer Tim has crafted a stunning Red Poinsettia Memorial Cone that beautifully merges festive spirit with heartfelt remembrance. This exquisite piece not only showcases the vibrant beauty of poinsettias, symbolizing joy and celebration, but also serves as a touching tribute to those we hold dear. This memorial cone encapsulates the essence of cherished memories, offering a warm reminder of the love that remains in our hearts. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.
Supplies needed:
- (1) 8" Floral Styrofoam Cemetery Vase Insert
- (3) Red Poinsettia Floral Bush
- (5) 20" Cedar Floral Spray
- (2) 37" Champagne Glitter Fern Christmas Floral Spray
- (1) Glittered Berry Spray Champagne
- (1) Silk Leather Leaf Bush
- Wire Cutters
- Hot Glue
- Before starting make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies. This design can be recreated with any color of florals and adjusted to fit your needs.
- To get started Tim took one of the Red Poinsettia Bushes and put it into the middle of the Styrofoam Cone Insert.
- He then added a few pieces of the Leather Leaf Fern around the center section of Poinsettias.
- Next Tim clipped the remaining Red Poinsettias off of the main stem and added them to the cone. He added these around the outside of the top of the Styrofoam. He added hot glue to the end of each stem to help secure it.
- Tim then clipped the Champagne Fern into multiple sections and placed them throughout the Cone and he did the same thing with the Glittered Berries spray. These he focused on the top of the cone to add more height.
- To finish off this Memorial Cone Tim clipped the rest of the Cedar Sprays into individual pieces and then worked them into the cone as well.
- When you have finished adding all of the components you will have a gorgeous Memorial Cone to use throughout the Holiday Season to honor your loved one.
