DIY Traditional Christmas Wreath

This week our Floral Designer Tim created a gorgeous Christmas Wreath using the traditional Christmas colors; red, green and gold. We love the use of the wispy greenery and gold accents that were added to this wreath. You can make one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below. Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting a design from each of our Christmas themes this year. We have showcased the Grinch, Navy & Gold Metallic and now our Traditional Christmas. Make sure to subscribe to our Blog so that you don't miss any of the upcoming themes.

Supplies needed:

  • Before you get started make sure you gather all of the needed supplies. You can adjust the accents or ribbons used to fit your own personal preference if you would like.

  • The first thing to do will be to fluff the Evergreen Wreath some and then cut the majority of the length off of the Cedar Stems. You are going to space these throughout the Wreath until you have them placed all the way around the Wreath. Make sure to add hot glue to the end of each stem. These Cedar Stems give the Wreath a more life-like appearance while adding texture too.

  • Next Tim worked on adding the Red Glitter Magnolia throughout the Wreath. He trimmed the length of the stem by half and then added hot glue to each before placing it in the Wreath.

  •  Next Tim created a gorgeous bow using three ribbons that matched our Traditional theme. He layered the three ribbons together and then made a three loop bow. He then tied the bow with floral wire and attached it to the Wreath. He used the remaining ribbon to loop throughout the Wreath.

  • Tim added the two Plaid Christmas Balls to the Wreath using hot glue and positioned them near two of the Magnolia Stems.

  • To finish off the design, Tim added the Gold Fern Leaf Stems and Gold Willow Stems throughout the Wreath. He separated them into separate sections and then used Hot Glue to place them throughout the Wreath.

  • When you have finished adding all of the accents you will have a gorgeous Wreath to use throughout Holiday season.
