DIY Bright Spring Memorial Cone

DIY Bright Spring Memorial Cone
This week, we’re thrilled to share a vibrant and heartfelt creation from our talented floral designer, Tim—the Bright Spring Memorial Cone. Bursting with the fresh, lively colors of spring, this stunning arrangement brings together a blend of bright blooms, including roses, gladiolus, and more, to create a memorial piece that’s as uplifting as it is meaningful. Designed to honor the spirit of a loved one, this unique floral cone is a beautiful reflection of both renewal and remembrance. Join us as we explore the inspiration behind this cheerful yet reverent design and the artistry that made it come to life. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below
Supplies needed:
- (1) 8" Floral Styrofoam Cemetery Vase Insert
- (2) 18" Pink & Yellow Mixed Floral Bush
- (5) Purple Gladiolus Spring Floral Stem
- (1) 25" Fern Spray
- Wire Cutters
- Hot Glue
- Before getting started make sure you gather all of the necessary supplies. This Memorial Cone can be recreated with any color or style of floral bush. You can adjust the colors to fit any theme or color scheme.

- To get started Tim took one of the Mixed Floral Bushes and pushed it down into the center of the top of the Styrofoam Insert.
- Next Tim cut apart the other Mixed Floral Bush into separate sections. He then placed each stem into the Styrofoam around the base of the first Bush. He worked around the Styrofoam evenly dispersing the stems.
- Tim then trimmed a bit of length off of the Gladiolus Stems and placed them around the Memorial Cone too. He put three into the bottom portion of the Cone and bent them down. The other two were placed in the center of the Cone in a V-shape.
- Lastly Tim cut apart the Fern Spray into multiple sections and placed it throughout the Cone as well. He focused on creating a skirt at the bottom of the Cone and then worked a few pieces into the main section of the Cone.
- When you are finished you will have a gorgeous Memorial Cone to honor your loved one.
