Easter is almost here and we want you to have something festive to welcome the Easter Bunny! This week our floral designer Tim created this fun and whimsical Easter Bunny Teardrop. This design features 10" Deco Mesh with bright floral picks and ribbon. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.
Supplies needed:
- (1) 28" Evergreen Teardrop
- (1) 10" Pink & White Striped Deco Mesh
- (1) 2.5" Solid Yellow Ribbon
- (1) 2.5" Pastel Plaid Ribbon
- (1) 32" Easter Bunny Behind Spray
- (2) 29" Mixed Pastel Flocked Egg Spray
- (3) 34" Pastel Curly Ball Spray
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- Hot Glue
- To get started, you will want to gather all of the necessary supplies
- Tim started this teardrop by adding the Deco Mesh to the teardrop. He started at the top of the teardrop and made loops down the right side of the teardrop. He used the branches to tie the loops down. Then he worked back up the left side of the teardrop. When he was finished the surface of the teardrop was covered. He used the remaining mesh to make a tail at the bottom of the teardrop.
- Once all of the Mesh had been added Tim tied a three loop stacked bow out of the two ribbons for a large bow at the top of the teardrop. He used floral wire to secure the bow and then the same wire to tie it onto the teardrop. Tim also left the tails on the bow long and looped them throughout the teardrop.
- Tim then added a small two loop bow to the very bottom of the teardrop using the remainder of the ribbon.
- Next Tim added the Bunny Butt spray to the center of the teardrop. He added hot glue to the end of the stem before placing it in the teardrop.
- Tim then added the Pastel Curly sprays to the teardrop. He placed one on the left side of the Bunny Butts, another coming out the bottom right section of the teardrop and the third coming out the top on the right side. He added hot glue to the end of each stem before placing it in the teardrop. He also spread the curly stems out and twisted them some to give them more dimension.
- Lastly Tim added the Pastel Egg Sprays to the teardrop. He cut one into two sections and split them between the bottom of the teardrop. The second spray he placed at the top of the teardrop near the bow.
- When you are finished you will have a fun and festive teardrop to welcome friends for Easter!
