This week our floral designer Tim created a simple, but stunning Fall Memorial Cone. This design uses a few Fall Floral Bushes and Greenery. You can use these steps to recreate this Memorial Cone for any Season; just simply switch out the flowers being used. Create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.
Supplies needed:
- (1) 8" Floral Styrofoam Cemetery Vase Insert
- (2) Sunflower. Zinnia, & Mums Mixed Fall Floral Bush
- (1) Fall Leaves Floral Bush
- (1) Silk Leather Leaf Bush
- Hot Glue
- Wire Cutters
- To get started make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies.
- Tim started this Memorial Cone by cutting all of the flowers off of the Fall Floral Bush. He then added stems to the top of the styrofoam cone one at a time, spacing them out as he worked. He placed the first stem in the center of the styrofoam and worked his way out from there. Remember to add a bit of Hot Glue to the bottom of each stem before placing it in the styrofoam. He repeated these steps with both of the Fall Mixed Bushes.
- Once all of the florals had been added, Tim then moved on to adding the Leather Leaf Fern. With the Leather Leaf you want to add smaller pieces in between the flowers and then create a skirt around the base of the flowers.
- To finish off the Cone Tim added the wispy pieces of Fall Leaves throughout the cone. He cut each off them off of the Bush and then used hot glue on the end of each stem to secure them.
- When you have finished adding all of the components you can come to a stopping point. You will have a gorgeous Memorial Cone that you can use throughout the Fall season to honor your loved ones.
