DIY Patriotic Grapevine Wreath
This week our floral designer Tim has created a festive Patriotic Grapevine Wreath just in time for the warm Summer months. This wreath uses one of our Patriotic Floral Bushes and a rustic Flag sign. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.
Supplies needed:
- (1) 18" Oval Grapevine Wreath
- (2) 20" Mixed Gerbera, Ranunculus & Delphinium Bush
- (1) Rustic Wooden Hanging USA Flag
- (1) 28" English Ivy Hanger
- (1) 21" Green Plastic Rice Bush
- (1) 24" Bright Blue Fabric Flowers, Leaves & Berries Spray
- Wire Cutters
- Floral Wire
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- To get started, first gather all of the necessary supplies.
- Tim began this wreath by attaching the Wood USA Flag Sign to the wreath using floral wire. He secured it to the bottom left corner of the wreath.
- Next Tim began adding pieces of the English Ivy Bush. He clipped pieces off of the bush and then added them to the wreath using hot glue.
- Then Tim began adding the Mixed Gerber Bush. He cut the bush into individual pieces and then glued them throughout the wreath. We opted to leave the yellow Roses to keep this wreath more red, white and blue. You can choose to leave them in if you want to.
- To add more texture Tim added the Bright Blue Mini Flowers Bush. He cut it into two separate sections and used hot glue to add them to the wreath.
- Next to add more height and whimsy Tim cut the Rice Bush into separate sections to add throughout the wreath.
- Once you have finished adding the Rice Bush you can come to a stopping point. You will have a festive wreath to use all Summer long.
